During the titular feast of the year 1979, a group of six statues representing the Old Testament Patriarchs, were unveiled by the Society for the first time. This set was commissioned to the sculpturor Alfred Camilleri Cauchi by Chev. Anthony Ventura and Joseph Gauci, both ex-Presidents of the Society, and depicts Saint Joseph’s ancestors. Welcome to our website! With more than hundred years of history, Circolo San Giuseppe Filarmonika Sagra Familja, a musical society founded in 1897 in the village of Kalkara on the island of Malta, is presenting to the worldwide society a brief overview of its committments, challanges and realities. This website was first developed during the year 2000, and after various improvements during the years, today we are presenting a more informative and user friendly website. We invite you to hover in the different pages available, so as to get a glimpse of our roots and our present activities. Certainly, inspite of being one of the smallest villages in Malta, Kalkara boasts of having such a glorious Society. |
